VDE and non-VDE pliers distinction
Non-VDE pliers are for normal mechanical renovation tasks: gripping, bending, pulling, holding, cutting, plumbing and general installation. CEE/VDE / IEC 60900 pliers are a separate certified insulated tool class for qualified electrical work where insulated tools are required. They do not mean “work live by default”. The professional rule remains: isolate, verify absence of voltage, then work.
